I actually have a commercial microfiche scanner but where is the fun in that Another user on this forum used a microscope camera and I will try one tomorrow. Will post result!

Hi Guys , Making a rig for taking images off microfiche . I have removed a lens from an old microfiche machine and by shining a light thru the microfiche and lens I can see the pages. Heavy Speckling
Hi all Been scanning in microfilm but some have very heavy speckling. Beside cleaning the film beforehand does anyone have any advice for removing this post process. Thanks Dingodog and Cday.
I have taken another track by open and save in a browser as a saved as a PDF . The rendering is almost as good as the original .
Can automate it thru scripting.

Hi Cday,
Yes . I am thinking the conversion drops the resolution. I have played with the controls for size and density but obviously it has it's limits.
I would be happy with a viewer . As each time I want to read the next page I close my browser and open another browser.
