Turning off "Time Lapse" script - "for dummies"

Post by freemab »

"Time lapse" was invoked by default when I first loaded SDM on my camera, and this caused me a few days of headaches. Eventually I discovered that this was due to a script being invoked. After additional waste of time, I learned how to turn off this aggravating script.

Since nowhere have I found instructions on how to choose a script (i.e., get rid of the time lapse script), here they are, as I figured out for myself:

1. Turn the camera on and set it to "playback" mode.
2. Press your camera's SDM <ALT> key, and the MENU button. The SDM Basic Menu will appear.
3. Step down to "Scripting" and press "Func Set".
4. Choose "Load script from file..." and press "Func Set".
5. Choose "Example1.BAS" (which seems to be harmless) and press "Func Set".
6. Press the MENU button to finish.

I do NOT know how to inactivate scripts entirely. I do not understand what Example1.BAS is supposed to do, but at least it seems not to interfere with the triggering.
