Canon IXUS 145 PTP USB Triggering >> Need Suggestion

Post by LEON007 »

Canon IXUS 145 is the cheapest camera available at my place at the moment. It will be nice if anyone confirmed that PTP mode shooting is working or not. I know that currently it is not supported by CHDK. But if basic USB PTP triggering is working then it will do my work.

USB remote capture command and USB trigger works thanks to CHDK, those functions are not supported by standard Canon firmware.

are you sure about that? because gphoto, digiCamControl, ptpcam(unmodified ver) are successfully doing remote triggers for years. even my Nikon L21 is support usb remote trigger using windows stock PTP drivers.

Some old models supports USB trigger, but even with gphoto, recent Canon P&S models does not support remote capture. See this table: http://www.gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php
