Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
Just made this short instructional video on how to use YASW. It's an excellent piece of software for doing post-processing on your photographic images of pages. I hope you may find the video helpful.

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
Dear develover tibob,
I am using the latest v 0.5 on Linux. If I save my project, close the program and load the project file into the program the page order by filename (increment by one 0.jpg, 1.jpg, etc) is completely random which is bad because the exporting will give new filenames and than I can not recover original order.
Best,
Elwi

Dear David,
Do you also experience problems when loading a project with unsorted filenames?
Best,
Elwi

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
It is stated that this bug has been fixed a while ago (0.4), maybe its introduced back in 0.5. I think I get in touch with the author.

No I haven't had problems with the file naming with YASW. But I think I used File Renamer to sort the naming out.elwi wrote: Do you also experience problems when loading a project with unsorted file names?

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
YASW 0.6 is released and can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/yascanw/.
There is still room for improvement, but I must say, this is the first release I would use for production.
Major Improvements:
- Progress dialogs & performance
- Readable project file (xml)
- Bug fixes
- Filtesr can be disabled
- New change propagation policy
Have fun and please do report bugs or whishes in soureforge https://sourceforge.net/p/yascanw/tickets/.

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
I downloaded YASW and my antivirus-program (F-Secure) removed the .exe-file claiming it was infected by a generic virus/malware.
Does the program do anything that a virus also might do? Has anyone else came across this? Do I need to turn off my computer protection in order to use this program (not likely to happen)?
Any ideas?

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
Looking for "mingw f-secure" in google (mingw is the cross compiler I use to produce the Windows version), I have found other free sofware with the same problem, for example: http://itsacleanmachine.blogspot.de/201 ... anger.html
YASW does read files (project files and input images), write files (output images or pdf), and should not do suspitious things. The source code is open, you can have a look into it and compile it yourself (instruction are in the section "Build windows version (cross compile under linux)" under install.txt).
There is a possibility you got a modified file, but I assume this is a false positive from F-Secure. I don't know how I could help. Here is the MD5-Sum of yasw.exe (as saved on my computer after the compilation) if you want to compare it:

Cheers,
