SpreadPi - deleted all my scans?

Post by chiyosuke »

I am using SpreadPi 0.4. The other day I booted up my scanner.

I was able to access the web GUI fine, but I could not find any of the scans!
I had many books on the memory stick that I had not yet downloaded for post-processing.

Is there any way to recover the books? I tried rebooting and it's still the same. Everything works fine, but I cannot find the books.
I tried accessing the memory card from Win 7 with Diskinternal Research program to access linux partitions, I didn't see any files that could be scanned images.

Any ideas will be welcome!

Try logging into the device and look for a scans directory. If your scans are on the card, they will be there.

If you cannot find them, then it might be a filesystem error. Fsck will scan your filesystem and look for damage and might be able to recover them if so.

Hi,

If the problem is related to the filesystem then try TestDisk at http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

Thanks everyone!

I logged into the device and I found the scans in the scans directory.
Whew!!! I had some books I needed to finish my thesis.
I was able to retrieve the scans, thank you very much!

Now, what is going on? I take it this is a bug in the SpreadPi program since it's still in beta?
Do I need to reformat the memory card or reset some settings?
