DIY Book Scanner

I've been learning how to digitally translate out-of-print books to ebooks, mostly related to Buckminster Fuller, like his last book Cosmography. I first contacted a local shop, they refused to do bevels, quoted Starfire glass, cut to size, 2 pieces for ~$650 USD.

Paid less online, still over paid, but have glass and can keep going.

I was able to order some custom cut glass for the platen, 16-3/8in by 12in, annealed. Didn't find an online glass fabricator to do a 50-degree bevel on one of the long edges, so pencil edges it is. Did go with low iron glass for better visual clarity, no green tint, only available in 1/4in thickness...

Had to zip the Aspire v11 file to upload here.

It's a first draft and I'm still working on the build so haven't confirmed parts yet.
