Re: Newbie with Spreadpi and Spreads Questions
Hi! See jbaiters last comment on this page for a simple ubuntu installation (did not work 100% for me as there were still some dependencies issues): https://github.com/DIYBookScanner/spreads/issues/126 also for a installation from scratch on ubuntu see: https://github.com/OliPelz/spreads-ubuntu-trus...

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
It is stated that this bug has been fixed a while ago (0.4), maybe its introduced back in 0.5. I think I get in touch with the author.

Dear David,
Do you also experience problems when loading a project with unsorted filenames?

Re: New Scanning Software - YASW
Dear develover tibob, I am using the latest v 0.5 on Linux. If I save my project, close the program and load the project file into the program the page order by filename (increment by one 0.jpg, 1.jpg, etc) is completely random which is bad because the exporting will give new filenames and than I ca...

Re: A new scanner design using plastic tubing
Dear David,
Thanks for the explanations and photos on how to attach the light. I now have a 20 Watt LED and attaching it like you showed me. The goosenecks also arrived, I am thrilled If I can reduce keystone! The software you showed looks good.
Thanks again for your help

Re: A new scanner design using plastic tubing
the alignment of the cameras on the camera support arms is really giving me hard times. I get a lot of keystone in every possible position. I have tried and tested every possible position but I think there is no perfect one. The platen hanger position interfers with the camera support arm position b...

Re: A new scanner design using plastic tubing
another question.
I saw in your inital bill that you had a 30 watt LED on it, in the instructables you say 20 watt.
Is 20 watt sufficient or is it the more the better? I can order 20, 30 or 50 watt on ebay.
Best,
Elwi

Re: A new scanner design using plastic tubing
Hey David,
I am just finishing my work on the scanner. What I dont fully understand is how the light is attached. Do you got an recent picture of your instructables scanner showing how the light is attached to the frame?

elwi

Re: A new scanner design using plastic tubing
Hi David, Thank you so much for your hard work on this really nice plastic tubing scanner! I have just started building my own. It was a bit hard for me to get those plastic tubings here in Germany, this is not available in my local hardware store ;). Just a quick note on the latest instructable ver...
