Giving a DIY Book Scanner Tech Talk at Google on Sep 9, 2010

Post by daniel_reetz »

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be presenting DIY Book Scanner technology at Google on Sep 9th. Anyone in the Bay Area who'd like to meet up and talk tech or whatever, please get in touch with me via email, twitter, or these forums. I'll be in town thru Sunday.

Wow. Is this something that will be filmed/available online somewhere? Who is the presentation being given to?

Most tech talks are filmed and put up on Youtube. The audience will be Google engineers, I don't think it's open to the public. However, I am open to meeting up with anyone in the Bay Area, and in fact, I'm looking for a place to stay on Saturday.

Hey all, wish me luck. I'm speaking here at Google HQ in about half an hour. Can hardly wait. Will tape the talk if at all possible.

Hey that's pretty cool that you got to speak there. Your message was great on the enabling use of the technology and you even stuck it to Google a bit at the end there. Nice work trying to keep them honest. I just wish they had taped the questions, I'd be curious what kinds of things they asked about.

Actually, th questions were average. "Why dont you use webcams"? How much does it cost? Etc. Clearly, the GBS team was not in the room. ;)
