Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
2 it is. Scann, will you try adding a test subsection, and then we'll implement the idea as Anonymous2 wrote it, but without the "incomplete builds" section?
Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
it seems that i can't create subsections...

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
Nevermind. Since I am an admin I have to do the forum creation. I created one test forum under hardware... but it's kinda dumb. I want it to be displayed on the forum main page as a subforum.
It looks like the only way to do this is to make Hardware a "category" and then to make subforums under that "category". However, to me this seems stupid because I have to delete/move the entire contents of the Hardware forum.
Does that sound right to you guys?

You can add them as a link. For example in the description of hardware section you just put: Tutorialsdaniel_reetz wrote:Nevermind. Since I am an admin I have to do the forum creation. That doesn't make sense to me. Please describe further. Have you done PHPBB administration before?

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
I did what you said, it's on the front page now. Not totally happy with that solution.
I think we need to make a "Hardware" category and work with that. Grr.

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
But in the tutorial you linked to it says:
CATEGORY
If you want to combine multiple forums or links for a specific topic, you can put them inside a category. The forums will appear below the category title, clearly separated from other categories. Users are not able to post inside categories.

Re: Site Reorganization (HELP PLEASE)
Yes, that's right.
As far as I can see, to implement the structure we want, we have to create a CATEGORY called "Hardware". Under the hardware category will be all subforums.
Unfortunately, I can't just convert the Hardware forum into a category. Either I have to move all the posts somewhere else, or delete them.
I may create a category like "Hardware Topics" and we can move things to that.
